The forum of “the important of regional Institutions”, was hold by cccacd on May 13, 2016 in Tehran International Book Fair.
Speaking in the meeting, Mr. Yin Haigang , the Cultural and political Counsellor of the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Tehran, noted the cultural effects of silk road in Cultural exchanges between nations. He added The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road, also known as The Belt and Road Initiative is a development strategy and framework, proposed by Chinese leader Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily between the People’s Republic of China and the rest of Eurasia, which consists of two main components, the land-based “Silk Road Economic Belt” and oceangoing “Maritime Silk Road”.
Dr. NASIRI GHYDARI, the Secretary-General of Iranian National Commission for UNESCO was second speaker of the meeting, who explained the duties and function of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO. He added; In line with its mission and UNESCO’s mandate, in its seventy years of active existence, the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO has contributed to promoting friendship in the region and the world. Dr.Nasiri emphasized the initiative of the Cultural Coordination Centre of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) is a valuable act of establishing sustainable co-existence and understanding between the various cultures and sub-cultures of this ancient continent, creating a luminous symphony of empathy among the different nations in Asia.
Issa Rezazadeh, the president of Cultural Coordination Center of ACD, as the third speakers, described the establishment of the Cultural Coordination Center of ACD. He said; The Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) is an intergovernmental organization created on 18 June 2002 to promote Asian cooperation at a continental level and to help integrate separate regional organizations. The president of cccacd added; The Third ACD Senior Officials Meeting on Cultural Cooperation was held in Tehran, on 7-8 May 2013 at Ministers of Culture level. The two-day meeting concluded with a twenty articles statement, emphasizing on the unique role of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue as the entity for the only Asia- wide forum to exchange views and promote cooperation in areas of mutual interests and in accordance with the Article No.7 of this Agreement, they approved the establishment of the ACD Cultural Coordination Center, in Tehran, to ensure the implementation of cultural initiatives, as well as projects initiated by ACD Member States and the enhancement of cultural ties among Member States.
