Joint Cultural programs of the Silk Road

Mr. Yin Haigang , the Cultural and political Counsellor of the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Tehran, visited the Cultural Coordination Center of ACD and met Issa Rezazadeh, the president of CCCACD.

In the meeting two sides reviewed the progress has been made in project of translation of selected short story of China as well as Implementation of joint programs especially in the context of Cultural Programs of the Silk Road.

It should be noted more than two thousand years ago, a famous Chinese envoy Zhang Qian in Han Dynasty explored the Silk Road lying across the Asian-European nations. Since then, people from countries along the road gradually turned this business road into a network of trade, culture, technology and civilizations.

Iran and China, countries both with thousands years of civilization, are among the major players along the ancient Silk Road. In 2013, Chinese president Mr. Xi Jinping put forward Belt and Road initiative, which refers to the Silk Road Economic Belt that links China with Europe through central and western Asia, and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road connecting China with southeast Asia, Africa and Europe.
