Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in a meeting with representative of Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) said Iran is a country with long history and civilization and is ready to cooperate with ISESCO for promotion of unity and cultural ties among Muslim nations.According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture, Mr. Ali Jannati during his meeting with Mr. Mohammad Algomari said there are large numbers of renowned Muslim scholars among Iranians and Islamic culture is deeply rooted in Iran and Iranian scientific and religious figures are well known across the world. Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance also called for expansion of cooperation and relations between his ministry and the Islamic Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization affiliated to Organization of Islamic Conference. ISESCO’ envoy while conveying the message of organization’s managing director said ISESCO and Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance have signed a memorandum of understanding which should be renewed and reactivated. Mr. Algomari referring to the holy city of Mashhad which has be appointed as the cultural capital of Islamic World in 2017 said ISESCO will provided necessary help and assistance for the event adding that Mashhad is a historic city with enormous potentials and these potentials should be utilized for cooperation with ISESCO.
